Before I bought my Keurig brewing system I didn’t know just what a K cup was, I had never even heard of one before. I’m hooked on Dunkin Donuts coffee but the nearest Dunkin’s is just a little too far away from my home to make it convenient to visit there. For this reason I purchased the Keurig coffee machine, so I could make great tasting coffee at home. Very much to my satisfaction I’ve just recently learned that Dunkin Donut K cups are now available and I’m utterly delighted.

So what is a K cup anyway? For anybody that does not know, a K cup is a single serving plastic container full of your favorite blend of gourmet coffee. They look fairly simple but the design is really fairly complex and the complexity of the design is what allows the coffee to remain fresh and great tasting. The cup by itself is a plastic container but there are a number of layers that help the brewing procedure. The first layer is a boundary that blocks oxygen, light and humidity from infiltrating the container and reaching the coffee. The next layer is a built in coffee filter that helps manage water movement, pressure as well as extraction time. These extremely smartly designed containers give you a perfectly brewed cup of coffee each and every time. The coffee I brew at home with my Dunkin Donut K cups taste just like what I’d get if I were to go several miles to the nearest Dunkin Donuts.

I’ve been making use of K cups of all sorts of different flavors and I’ve loved many of them but it wasn’t till just recently that I visited the Dunkin website and learned they were making Dunkin Donut K cups available. When i visited their website I noticed a message that stated they’d be offering Fourteen count packages of the K cups and they would be available in five well-liked flavors which includes their original blend, the decaf blend, French vanilla, hazelnut along with Dunkin Dark. Luckily for me I really like each and every one of those flavors and now I may have them whenever I want. For people addicted to coffee like myself I’m unsure if the availability of these single serving cups will be a blessing or a curse but I could not be more happy.
